Elizabeth Defaye

Korean-american pianist, Elizabeth Kim is a graduate of the Juilliard School and Yale University. Winner of the “Artists International” competition, she performed her debut recital at carnegie hall in New York. She was also accompanist and professor of piano and voice at Bennington College.
In 2002, Elizabeth received the Fullbright and Harriet Hale-Wooley grants enabling her to study in Paris with Yvonne Loriot-Messiaen. She continued her concert career performing as soloist with many prestigious orchestras such as the Saint Petersburg State Orchestra in Russia and the St Louis Symphony in the United States.
Pianist for the tango quartet “Tangata”, Elizabeth recently performed “live” on France Culture at the Maison de la Radio in Paris. She joined the staff at l’ Ecole Koenig in 2002.
