CRESCENDORADIO Web radio created by and for children

Our speakers and journalists, children from 7 to 13 years old, will share their discovery of music and the arts with their audiences through interviews with musicians, artists, actors, museum curators, and leading figures in today’s changing world.
Students will become familiar with the technology of internet radio, learn to research and conduct interviews, and contribute all content for France’s first WebRadio created by and for children.

ENGLISH THROUGH MUSICAL THEATER

(6-7 years & 8-10 years)

Students will develop their English language skills through performance of musical theater songs and dances. Using selections from the musical theater genre, young students will learn basics of the English language and practice their grammar and diction skills. Basic movement or dance elements will be taught with the songs and will reinforce the meaning of the lyrics in order to support the language acquisition process.

JUNIOR PROS youth musical theater troupe (by audition only)

(10+ years: 4 hrs/week)
This pre-professional course is aimed at training students who are considering a career in musical theater.
Objectives
Memorization and performance of staged scenes and songs from the musical theater genre
Improved stage presence, physical awareness, and performance stamina.
To challenge the students’ current vocal, acting, and dance abilities through exposure to new repertoire and techniques
Knowledge of basic staging techniques, acting principles and a basic understanding of character analysis

Since the success of the learning process and group performance depends on all students’ regular attendance, unexcused absences will not be permitted for this course. Students who do not respect our absence policy will be dismissed.

We will also continue to offer our musical theater classes for ages 6-9 years (1 hr) and 10-15 years (2hrs).
